Chef's Society open at City Centre Mirdif
Chef's Society is now fully open at City Centre Mirdif. Social Kandura reported the completed rollout on 21 September 2026. Majid Al Futtaim put the same story on the record in a 16 September press note. Ten chef-led kitchens sit under one roof in Mirdif, spanning Emirati, Indian, Cantonese, Levantine, Japanese, Italian, and fusion flavours.
This is not one restaurant with a long menu. It is a culinary collective where each kitchen keeps its own identity, and buyers can move from Levantine plates to dim sum to Emirati coffee without leaving the mall.
Ten kitchens, named chefs
Majid Al Futtaim names the ten concepts. Bait Maryam by Chef Salam Daqqaq and REIF Japanese Kushiyaki by Chef Reif Othman carry MICHELIN Bib Gourmand recognition. Anara is led by MasterChef India judge Chef Kunal Kapur and focuses on crafted Indian cooking. Ying Ji Dim Sum is led by Chef Lin Deshan, with handcrafted dim sum and pulled noodles. Slab is represented by Chef Omar Rodrigues and blends global street food with seasonal ingredients.
ATHAR By the Qlab, led by Chef Nabhan Abdulrahman, runs all-day Emirati dining and speciality coffee. Bonci holds Gabriele Bonci's Roman pizza craft alongside a wider Italian sit-down. The Matcha Tokyo, My Cookie Dough, and Beurre cover matcha drinks, sweet treats, and artisanal patisserie.
Social Kandura and the Majid Al Futtaim note both stress that each outlet has its own look and mood. Bait Maryam leans Levantine and soulful. REIF keeps an open kitchen. ATHAR sells Emirati hospitality through the day. That is the story buyers can brief without a spreadsheet of mall units.
Why a collective beats a single brief
The emotional problem is familiar. A family or a client group wants one destination that does not force everyone into the same cuisine. The usual fix is three WhatsApp threads and a parking argument. Chef's Society answers with a shared floor where the hero is the guest who wants choice without chaos.
Khalifa Bin Braik, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Asset Management, said the hub is about transforming malls into social places where taste, culture, and shared moments live together. Treat that as the operator's own framing. Confirm hours and menus at each kitchen when you book. The press board already gives planners enough named chefs and named concepts to brief a celebration, a weekday lunch crawl, or a mixed group that refuses one cuisine.
Mirdif as the room
City Centre Mirdif is the address. The destination sits inside a mall that has been pushing beyond pure retail into food-led social time. For buyers who live or work on the east side of the city, that matters. You are not dragging a table of ten across town for one Italian room when Levantine, Indian, Japanese, Emirati, and Cantonese sit a short walk apart under the same roof.
We covered Bonci earlier as its own Wire. This piece is the wider system. Ten kitchens. Two Bib Gourmand names. Three fresh chef concepts joining the board. The story is the collective, not a single pizza counter.
What this means for Kattegat buyers and sellers
Buyers, start with the feeling you want, not a unit number. Mirdif. City Centre Mirdif. Chef's Society. When the brief is a mixed group, a family afternoon, or a client lunch that needs more than one cuisine under one roof, you now have a named destination with named chefs already on the record.
Sellers, read the floor. Open kitchen energy at REIF. Levantine soul at Bait Maryam. Emirati all-day at ATHAR. Dim sum and pulled noodles at Ying Ji. Crafted Indian at Anara. Street-food pace at Slab. That is work for kitchen teams who can hold a chef story in a busy mall, and for talent who can lift a celebration without fighting the crowd.
Kattegat sits in the middle. Venues need people who show up. Talent needs rooms that book. Planners need one place where both sides tell the story straight, not forty chats named final.
We did not invent Dubai hospitality. We turned the trade we already live into a system buyers and sellers can run from the pocket. Floors like Chef's Society at City Centre Mirdif are why the marketplace exists.
Book the collective, book the set
If you are locking a Mirdif lunch crawl, a mixed-cuisine celebration, or a weekday table that sells feeling as hard as variety, start with the chefs and the ten kitchens, not capacity alone.
