El Sur brings Olé Brunch to Westin Mina Seyahi Dubai
El Sur at The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi started Olé Brunch on 4 Oct. Sunday tapas, paella and live Spanish guitar from Keco, 1pm to 4pm.
El Sur, the Spanish restaurant at The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina, started a new weekly Olé Brunch on Sunday 4 October 2026, as Travels Dubai reported on 3 October. Sundays run from 1pm to 4pm, packages start at Dh199, and a live Spanish guitarist plays the room while the paella goes round.
That last detail is the story. Not the price. Not the length of the menu. A brunch that books a musician on purpose is a brunch that wants the room to feel something.
El Sur at Westin Mina Seyahi and a Sunday built on music
El Sur sits inside The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina, which Marriott lists at Dubai Marina. Marriott lists it as a Spanish restaurant open every evening from 6pm to 10.30pm, smart casual. The venue describes itself as a room that takes you to the streets of Barcelona and Andalusia.
The new Sunday brings that feeling into daylight. Travels Dubai says the live Spanish guitarist brings warmth and energy to the afternoon. The El Sur booking page on SevenRooms names him. Live Guitarist Keco. Not a playlist. Not a speaker in the corner. A person with a name, booked to carry three hours of Sunday.
Anyone who has run a brunch in this city knows the moment that decides it. Plates are cleared, the second round is poured, and the room either lifts or quietly starts checking the bill. A good set catches that moment before it drops. A missing set lets it go.
Croquetas, paella and plates built for sharing
The Olé Brunch menu, per Travels Dubai, opens with sharing plates. Golden croquetas with piquillo pepper aioli. Tortilla de patatas with sweet caramelised onion and truffle. Artisan bread with freshly grated tomato, Cantabrian anchovies, roasted black garlic butter, Spanish cheeses and Jamón Ibérico. SevenRooms adds that the Jamón Ibérico is carved live.
Seafood paella follows, with bomba rice, squid, prawns and clams. Cochinillo Segoviano lands as the second big plate for the table. Dessert comes to share too. Churros with chocolate sauce, Basque cheesecake and crema catalana.
Packages, as listed, run Dh399 with house beverages and cocktails, Dh299 with house beverages, Dh199 with soft beverages, and Dh99 for children aged 6 to 12. Children under 6 eat free. Travels Dubai frames it as a table for a birthday or a long overdue gathering with friends.
That framing matters. Nobody books a Sunday brunch for the croquetas alone. They book it for the people around the table and the feeling they want to leave with.
One room, four days of live sets
Here is the part a brunch headline does not show. El Sur is not a one-day music room. More Cravings by Marriott lists a full week of live sets around the Sunday.
Wednesday is Mi Amor, 7pm to 10pm, a mix and mingle night with a live DJ. Thursday is Paella Night, 7pm to 10pm at Dh149 per person, with live guitar entertainment. Saturday is Supper Club, 9pm to midnight, with a live DJ and Spanish guitarist Keco, according to SevenRooms. The venue says Supper Club takes its cue from Madrid and Barcelona, where dinner flows into drinks, music and conversation without anyone watching the clock.
Then Sunday, Olé Brunch, guitar again at 1pm.
So the same guitarist plays a late Saturday crowd and a Sunday lunch crowd in the same room. Two different energies, one musician trusted with both. That is a venue building its week around talent, not filling gaps with it.
What this means for Kattegat buyers and sellers
Buyers, stop briefing brunch as a price per head. Brief it as a feeling. Mina Seyahi. The Westin. El Sur. When the ask is a birthday that should not fade at 3pm, a team Sunday with a Spanish table, or a Saturday that rolls from dinner into music, you now have a room with a named musician and a live calendar you can plan around.
Sellers, read what El Sur just did. A guitarist on Sunday afternoon. A DJ and guitarist on Saturday night. Live guitar at Thursday paella. A DJ midweek. That is steady work for musicians who can read a table, DJs who know a dinner hour is not a club hour, and hosts who keep the room warm between courses.
Kattegat sits in the middle of that trade. Venues need talent that shows up and reads the room. Talent needs rooms that book them again. Planners need one place where both sides tell the story straight.
We did not invent Dubai hospitality. We built a system for the people who already make these nights happen, so they get found for the set they actually play.
Book the table, brief the set
If you are locking a Sunday for a birthday, a Spanish supper for a team, or a guitarist and DJ for your own room, start with the feeling you want at 3pm, not the headcount alone.
