Gymkhana is open for dinner at Gate Village 7 in the Dubai International Financial Centre. The National published a first review on 14 September. London’s two-Michelin-starred Indian room from JKS Restaurants is now taking tables in DIFC nightly.

This is not a distant tease. Buyers who need a DIFC dinner with a named kitchen and named plates have a room that is already trading. Sellers who cook Indian fire, hold a private table, or run a floor that stays late have a story with hours on the board.

The room at Gate Village DIFC

Gymkhana sits at Gate Village, Building 7, DIFC. The National and Hotel & Catering both put dinner service daily from 6.30pm to 1am. Lunch timings follow in October. Reservations run through the restaurant line on 04 575 4974 and the Gymkhana Dubai site.

The space spans two floors plus a terrace. Hotel & Catering says seating runs up to 137 guests. Samuel Hosker of North End Design worked with Karam Sethi on a lighter green palette, bespoke Indian stained glass, rattan and cane, reeded timber, Murano lights, and artwork that nods to India’s gymkhana clubs. The ground floor holds dining around an Indian marble bar. Below, a mirrored staircase opens onto the Peacock Bar and a room that can become private dining for up to 14 seated, or about 30 standing.

That address matters for buyers writing a brief. You can name DIFC, Gate Village 7, the hour, and whether you need the main room or a closed door.

Plates with names, London and Dubai

The kitchen is led by Executive Chef Rahul Rana, under Global Culinary Director Chet Sharma and JKS Co-Founder and Creative Director Karam Sethi. Hotel & Catering and Dubai Edited describe a menu in five parts. Nashta. Kebabs and Tikkas. Game and Chops. Curry and Biryani. Sabzi.

London signatures travel with the brand. Kid Goat Methi Keema and Salli. Tandoori Masala Lamb Chops with Walnut Chutney. Achari Paneer Tikka. Chicken Butter Masala. Dubai-only plates sit beside them. Jackfruit Ghee Roast. Makhmali King Crab and Malai Pyaaz. Imli Black Cod with Peanut Chutney. Wagyu Beef Sukka with Bone Marrow. Malvani Sea Bream. Goat Shank Nihari. Fatechand Kachori Chaat with Green Mango. Chettinad Duck Dosa with Coconut Chutney. Desserts include Rasmalai and Emirati Qishta, and Gajar Ka Halwa Soft Serve.

That list matters for buyers. You can name the room and the plate. You are not booking a vague Indian line on a pitch deck. Sellers on the pass know what the brief asks for. Tandoor heat. Timing. A private Peacock Bar hold when the table needs a door.

From Mayfair clubs to DIFC nights

Gymkhana was founded in London’s Mayfair in 2013 by siblings Jyotin, Karam, and Sunaina Sethi of JKS Restaurants. The name nods to the elite social and sporting clubs of India, rooms where people gathered to eat, drink, and stay. The Mayfair original earned its first Michelin star within nine months, and a second in 2024. Dubai follows the group’s other doors in Riyadh and Las Vegas.

What this means for Kattegat buyers and sellers

Buyers, this is a story you can book tonight. DIFC. Gate Village 7. Gymkhana open for dinner until 1am, lunch from October. When the brief is a Michelin-led Indian table, a Dubai-only dish list, or a private Peacock Bar hold off the Marina and Palm loop, you now have doors that are open and plates that are named.

Sellers, read the kitchen and the floor. Tandoor. Curry and biryani. Private dining. A terrace that needs the right energy after 9pm. If your story is Indian fire cooking, holding a late DIFC room, or floor work for a client table that stays, this is the market moving in Gate Village.

Kattegat sits in the middle. Venues need people who show up. Talent needs rooms that book. Planners need one place where both sides tell the story straight, not forty WhatsApp threads named final.

We did not invent Dubai hospitality. We turned the trade we already live into a system buyers and sellers can run from the pocket. Nights like this in DIFC are why the marketplace exists.

Book the DIFC table, book the plate

If you are locking a Gate Village dinner, a private Peacock Bar night, or F&B talent for a room that already has the Mayfair story, start with the table and the plate, not capacity alone.
