Kapitol opens social gaming at Rixos Premium JBR Dubai

Sunset Hospitality Group has opened Kapitol, a social gaming venue at Rixos Premium Dubai on The Walk, JBR, as Time Out Dubai reported on 6 October. Bowling, karaoke, batting cages, mini golf, darts and more sit under one roof, with sharing plates and a playful cocktail list to match. Doors are open daily from 4pm to 1am.

So what is Kapitol, really? It is a group night with a scoreboard. And a scoreboard changes who the night belongs to.

Eight ways to play at Rixos Premium Dubai JBR

Kapitol has eight gaming experiences, several of them new to the region, according to the TradeArabia News Service report on 5 October. Major League Baseball-style batting cages with automated pitching and real-time tracking. Puttify interactive mini golf. Wave Italy Pro racing simulators built for GT-style head-to-heads. Ten Brunswick bowling lanes with Spark projections, plus VIP bowling. Then digital darts, axe throwing, shuffleboard and private karaoke rooms that record your performance, which is either a gift or a threat depending on your friends.

The Platinumlist guide puts the plan simply. Start with one game, see what the group wants next, break for food whenever you feel like it.

The quiet one who wins at darts

Picture the usual team night. Dinner is booked. The loud ones hold the table. The new hire sits at the end and nods along. By ten, half the group is checking the time and the other half is checking the bill.

TradeArabia says the venue is designed for corporate events, team building, private celebrations, group nights, brand activations and full-venue buyouts, with tailored food, drink and entertainment packages. Kapitol's own site adds happy hour, ladies night and live DJs to the mix. Nazih Hafez, Vice Chairman and Managing Partner of Sunset, called it the group's vision "for the next era of lifestyle hospitality."

What this means for Kattegat buyers and sellers

Buyers, the team night is one of the hardest briefs in Dubai. HR leads, office managers, the friend who always ends up organising the birthday. You are not booking a table. You are booking the story your people tell afterwards.
