SOLENA by RASPOUTINE heads to DIFC Dubai
SOLENA by RASPOUTINE opens in DIFC, Dubai at the end of October, from 5pm Tuesday to Saturday. Why the hour after work is the whole story.
SOLENA by RASPOUTINE is set to open in DIFC, Dubai, at the end of October, The Zenith Magazine reported on 8 October. It comes from RASPOUTINE co-owners Logan Maggio and Alexander Ghislain with UAE hospitality company AlphaMind Group, and it runs Tuesday to Saturday from 5pm onwards. Mediterranean dining, a terrace facing the DIFC skyline, and a resident DJ who builds the mood as the evening goes.
That is the news. The story is the hour between work and night.
The colleague who says one drink
You know this person too. It is 5.40pm, the laptop is closing, and they lean over and say one drink, nothing big. Nobody believes them. An hour later the table has grown, someone has ordered food for everyone, and the plan for the evening has quietly become the evening.
That colleague is the hero of the night, not the venue. They read the room at the office, they picked the place, and they gave everyone permission to stay. SOLENA is built for exactly that moment.
A RASPOUTINE room that starts before dark
RASPOUTINE is a name people know for after-dark energy. With SOLENA, the owners told The Zenith they wanted to explore another side of that world. "Raspoutine has always been about much more than nightlife," Maggio and Ghislain said. "It is about atmosphere, people, music and creating a certain feeling. With SOLENA, we wanted to explore another side of that world, something more relaxed, beginning at sunset and evolving naturally through dinner and into the evening."
The Zenith describes marble floors catching the last light, curved tables forming small pockets around the room, and high seating around a statement bar at the centre. At five o'clock it might be a drink after work. An hour later, dinner. Later still, the resident DJ has shifted the mood and leaving feels less urgent.
The point, according to the piece, is that there is no dramatic moment where it flips from one thing to another. The night just keeps going.
Why the DIFC terrace matters
DIFC is where a lot of Dubai's working week ends. A terrace that opens toward the skyline turns that walk out of the office into the first scene of the night. For a venue, that is the hardest hour to win. People are tired, undecided, half on their way home. A room that makes the first drink easy wins the rest of the evening.
What this means for Kattegat buyers and sellers
Buyers, plan for the drift. If you are organising team drinks or a client evening, book a place that can carry you from 5pm to dinner without anyone needing to move. Tell the venue it might grow. The person who planned for the second hour looks like they planned the whole night.
Sellers, this is a room that rewards patience. A DJ at SOLENA is not there to announce the night, they are there to walk beside it, building slowly as the tables fill. If you are a DJ, singer or musician, pitch how you read a room at sunset, not just how loud you can take it at midnight. Hosts and photographers, the same applies. The early hour needs people who make guests feel they arrived at the right time.
Venues, SOLENA is a reminder that your best story might be an hour of the day. Not a menu, not a list of features. Tell people what 6pm feels like at your place, and the right guests will come for it.
Kattegat sits in the middle of these meetings. Venues looking for the talent and partners who fit their room. DJs, singers and planners looking for the right doors to walk through. Buyers who want an evening that grows on its own. We built a system so those conversations start with the story, not the price list.
