We did not invent a new industry. We turned the business we already run in Dubai into software.

Built by the industry

Verou Poli owns Kattegat.app. She is my wife. One-woman band, singer, pianist, guitarist. She toured the world with the music. I am Kayzar Floki, The Builder. People also know me as The Connector. I bring people together and make deals happen.

We built this with buyers and sellers. We talk to them every day. We listen. The modules, the system, the marketplace: it came from the floor, not from a slide deck.

We already have grip on this market. Twelve years of Dubai hospitality ops behind it. Offline for two and a half years before the apps went public. Same services. Same hustle. Now it runs in the pocket.

The long road

The idea started in 2017. We shut it down in 2018. Nice project. Not perfect. Operations ate the calendar. Company name changed. Life moved. We did not have time to put it out.

Two and a half years ago we finished the build, the full system. Then we tested. About two months of hard testing. Android done. iOS done. Web done.

1 September 2026. Complete.

The name and the company have been here for two and a half years. I have been in this game since 2002. Executive head chef path out of Procter & Gamble in London. Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm. Evenings I ran a marketing and entertainment agency. Verou was on the road with the music. We have been living this marketplace long before it had an app icon.

What corona taught us

We learned from corona. We learned from the disruption that hit us on 28 February. That was not theory. That was our rooms, our people, our cashflow.

We are the market. We are the culture. We are the system.

Now we are putting that system into daily life, software and technology, every single day.

In our business today, AI does about 60% of the work. The other 40% is humans with integrity. People who show up. People who mean it.

Machines move fast. Trust still needs a face.
