ZEA Garden, the open-air terrace at ZEA Dubai on Level C of Emirates Financial Towers, DIFC, has been open since 1 October 2026, Gulfbuzz reported today. Executive Chef Sundeep Taucoory has written a dedicated garden menu, and the terrace looks straight at the Burj Khalifa. Gulfbuzz lists it open Tuesday to Saturday, from 5pm until 2am.

That is the news. The story is the moment every after-work drink in Dubai reaches around eight o'clock, when somebody asks where we are going for dinner.

The question that ends most good evenings

You know the scene. Six of you finish a long week. The drinks are good. The light goes. Then the question lands. Where next.

Two people check their phones. One says they might head home. Someone suggests a place across town, and by the time the taxis are sorted, half the table has gone. Nobody had a bad time. The evening just broke at the handover.

Gulfbuzz describes ZEA Garden as built for exactly the Dubai afternoons that start with an after-work drink and somehow turn into dinner, cocktails and the rest of the evening. Dinner turns into drinks, and drinks turn into a late night, without anyone having to move. That one idea is the whole pitch, and it is about the guest, not the furniture.

ZEA Garden at Emirates Financial Towers, a second room with its own voice

Gulfbuzz is clear that the Garden is not just the restaurant with a few tables pushed outside. It has an identity of its own, relaxed but polished, with dense greenery, deep green seating and the Downtown skyline rising above it.

The food has its own voice too. ZEA's Mediterranean base takes Latin American and Peruvian turns on the terrace. Hamachi tiradito with aji amarillo ponzu. Lomo saltado with beef tenderloin and crispy potatoes. Wagyu sliders with Manchego. Matcha tiramisu with pistachio crumble to close.

Early in the evening it suits an informal meeting away from the office. As the sun drops behind Downtown, the cocktails arrive, the shisha comes out and the Burj Khalifa becomes the backdrop.

ZEA's own website calls the terrace a second social language for the venue, lighter and more open, useful for after-work gatherings, brand moments and private evenings. I like that phrase a lot. Plenty of Dubai venues have a second space. Very few tell anyone what it is for.

What this means for Kattegat buyers and sellers

Buyers, stop briefing a venue and start briefing a night. Team drinks that should become a team dinner without anyone calling a taxi. A client evening that needs to feel easy at six and memorable at eleven. A small brand moment that wants the skyline in every photo. DIFC, Emirates Financial Towers, ZEA Garden. Now that feeling has an address.

Sellers, look at how this kind of evening moves. A terrace that runs from golden hour to 2am needs more than a kitchen. It needs hosts who read a table at seven differently from the same table at midnight. Acoustic players, sax sets and DJs who know a sundowner crowd is not a club crowd, and who can carry one into the other without a jolt. Planners who can turn after-work drinks into a proper corporate night without making it feel corporate.

Venues, if you have a second room, a terrace or a garden, give it its own story. Who it is for. What a night out there feels like. Then the people searching for exactly that night can actually find it.

Kattegat sits in the middle of all this. Venues need people who show up. Talent needs rooms that book. Planners need one place where both sides tell the story straight. We built a system for the hand-offs, so the night does not break at the question of where next.

Book the evening, not just the table

Before you book, check the details yourself. Gulfbuzz lists 5pm to 2am, Tuesday to Saturday, and another listing shows a later close, so ask the team when you reserve. Reservations are on +971 56 402 6633 or reservations@zeadubai.com.

Then plan the whole night, not the first hour. Who is coming, how you want it to feel at ten, and who could make that happen.
